General Information for the Forums
Currently, registration is not required
to post. Silvermedicine.org does
not release any user information for any purpose, nor do we use
any user information for spam or mass emailing. If anyone
receives
an unsolicited email that is traced back to our projects or servers,
please contact us; our action will be extremely swift in
addressing
any problems.
By viewing or participating in our forums, all
individuals acknowledge that they are doing so for research and
journalistic
purposes only; there is never any medical advice given in our
forums, and no information listed should be construed as anything
but independent research ideas.
All posts deemed as spam, or posts that have no content value,
shall be modified immediately at the sole discretion of the moderators.
Please do not take it personally if a post is removed or edited,
such as a link to a news story without your personal comments,
posts not relevant to the topic, or posts that treat any other
member with hostility.
Posts with tag-lines or signatures that promote
your product are not permitted for the general membership, and
the tag lines will removed. There are exceptions to this rule:
If someone is asking a specific question that is relevant to the
member's product, reference to a website address is permitted
in-post. Tag lines or signatures are permitted
to not-for-profit websites, provided that the not-for-profit project
is not supported by advertising and the not-for-profit project
references at least two seperate companies that market the same
class of products ( if any products are involved ). This
rule does not apply to moderators.
Common courtesy and respect for others is a must
at all times!
Moderator Information
We are actively seeking experienced specialists
in protocols, therapies, and subjects for expert moderators. Manage
your own forum, and join a team of dedicated private researchers
helping to redefine the world of alternative medicine
and independent research online... Share your experience,
knowledge and wisdom with like-minded individuals, help set new
standards in information sharing, and learn a world of practical
knowledge from other users and participants... Gain exposure for
your own projects ( upon approval ) and most of all... help others
achieve a greater level of wellness!
Approved moderators can sponsor any forum related
to natural and alternative medicine. The benefits are numerous:
-
Your own directory in your forum where you
can provide information and links pertinent to your area of
focus... All the benefits of an Open Directory Project Editor,
minus the rules.
-
Web site space as needed for images and instructions,
provided by silvermedicine.org.
-
If desired, a silvermedicine.org pop 3 email
account to manage all of your forum business.
-
The ability to add your website address
and other information to your signature ( our forum is google
search engine friendly ).
-
A great deal of exposure to a quality community
that will only grow with time.
- Moderators that do not include url's in their posts
or otherwise directly mention their own products/services, but
have their web sites listed in their profile, are in compliance
with FDA and FTC regulations and may therefore speak freely in
a non-promotional manner.
Qualifications, Requirements, and other Considerations:
Moderators should be individuals with a good amount of practical
experience in their area of expertise, with good communication skills
and a great deal of care for truth.
Affiliate web sites cannot under any circumstance be promoted by
moderators. If a moderator is involved in affiliate programs, he
or she must clearly seperate the interests from the forum project.
Moderators must practice a policy of full disclosure of personal
and professional interest regarding any products and/or services
offered, when these products or services are mentioned in any context
on the forum.
Moderators who have business interests should understand that competition
in business is healthy and that the forum is not the place to wage
warfare against competitors. Moderators should place their focus
on objective truth, and let their character and extraordinary ethics
speak for their interests.
Moderators are asked to understand that the rules of the board
are a work in progress, and be willing to grant silvermedicine.org
some leniency as we adjust policies to best serve the general visiting
population. The same consideration is given to all moderators!
Moderators may designate individuals in their own organization
as "administrators" of their forum, provided that it is
accepted that the Moderator is personally responsible for all actions.
If you are interested in getting involved, or have further questions,
please feel free to
.
